7. Nancy Jane HARMON² was born on 10 January 1799 in Russell County, Virginia.² She died on 4 February 1872 at the age of 73 in Knox County, Illinois.²

The Indiana database shows the early marriage of Jane Harmon to William Crist on 10 May 1816 in Franklin Co. FamilySearch.org family tree shows a son - Jacob Crist, b. 1818, as well as a James, b. 1817. No proof of these sons.
Then Robert Mitchell married Jane Harmon - there are two dates, Jan 26 and Jan 28 of 1819. It would seem that their was a divorce as Crist also went on to remarry. The image on FamilySearch, shows that the license was issued to Robert Mitchell and Jane Harmon on 26 Jan 1819. Charles Crabb, JP, married them on the 28th of Jan.
Chesley Wray married Jane Mitchell as his first wife.

There is a descrepancy in the surname - it was Wray in the marriage record, but Ray in the censuses.

"Chesley Ray Sr., a native of North Carolina, came to Pike township in the winter of 1822-23, and settled with his family [wife and two children] on land now owned by Amos Smith east of Eagle Creek..... He moved to Illinois and died there in 1869, in his seventy-first year. He had five children, three sons and two daughters. His first wife was the second adult person who died in this township in May 1826."

Nancy Jane HARMON and William CRIST were married on 10 May 1816 in Franklin County, Indiana.² William CRIST was born (date unknown).

William Crist married Catherine Deford, 29 Sep 1829, Franklin, IN, and had several children with her. He died 19 Apr 1858, Rock Island, IL.

Nancy Jane HARMON and William CRIST had the following children:

Nancy Jane HARMON and Robert MITCHELL were married on 28 January 1819 in Jackson County, Indiana.² Robert MITCHELL² was born (date unknown).

Nancy Jane HARMON and Chesley WRAY were married on 14 June 1827 in Marion County, Indiana.⁵ Chesley WRAY was born in 1798 in North Carolina. He died in 1869 at the age of 71 in Knox County, Illinois.

Chesley had a wife prior to Nancy Jane Harmon. The 1830 census indicates that he possibly had two sons between 5-10 and two daughters between 10-15 - too old to have from the marriage to Nancy Jane. He is referred to as Chesley Ray SR in a Marion Co History so presumably he had a son named Chesley.
