There is an Iowa Delayed Birth Record, filed 20 Jul 1942. Lee Harmon Adamson was born 10 Sep 1869, Bremer, Bremer Co, Iowa to Enoch Ruben Adamson and Marry Elizebth Harmon. Several documents were provided to include a family record of the birth, copy of birth from Ray W. Adamson, brother, paid insurance premium receipts, a paid note from R. W. & L. H. Adamson, etc. Signed by Lee H. Adamson of 134 Granville, West L.A., Calif.

Marriage license, Benton Co, AR. L. H. Adamson of Rogers age 29 to Miss Anna Blake also of Rogers, age 27, 12 Apr 1899. Married the same day by J. G. Bailey.

1900 Census; Benton Co AR, Escalapia Twp, Lee lives with Ann's family. Head of household is Amelia Blake, age 52, b. in N. C. Dau Cora Marshall & son-in-law William Marshall live there, Ann & Lee Adamson are in household, Watie Ireland, daughter and her husband Arthur are there. Also Theada, Bettie, Virgie, & Zula all listed as daughters of Amelia. Granddaughter Maxine Marshall, age 3, is also in the household. Lee's occupation is Bridge Carpenter; they had been married 1 year.

1910 Census. The Adamsons again apparently living in the same place with Amelia Blake. Lee H., son-in-law listed as age 38, married 9 years and born in Iowa. His parents both born in IN. He was a Railroad Contracter. Anne B. was age 36, born in AR. Her father b. MO, her mother b. NC. She had had only one child - Richard B. age 2. Amelia Blake gave her age as 61, widowed. She had 9 children, 8 still living. She and her parents born in NC. She has her "own income". Theda, daughter, age 31 is single and living in the household - she lists her occupation as a buyer in a department store. Amelia Blake's mother is also in the household. She is listed as Emmaline Crowder, age 87, widowed - she had three children, all living and was born in NC as were her parents.

1920 Census, still living with Amelia Blake and her daughter Theda. In Rogers, Ward 3, Escalupia Twp. This time Amelia, age 65, widowed, gives her birthplace and that of her parents as SC. Theda says both her parents born in SC. Lee lists his profession aas Contractor, Gen. Work. He is now age 45, Anne is listed as 43, son Richard is 12 and attending school. They lived on S. 4th Street as did his sister Minnie and brother Claire.

1930 Census. Lee had gone to California. Found in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles County.. He was by now age 55, had married when he was 29. He was working as a general contractor. Anna was age 50. Richard, son was now 22 and delivering newspapers.

Beginning in 1936, Lee and family are listed in the California Voters Register. Mrs. Anna, Lee H. & Richard B. Adamson were living at 134 Granville Ave. in Los Angles City Precinct No. 1672. Anna was a housewife, Lee as ranch superintendent, Richard, a journalist. The three are listed through 1948 at the same address. They were Democrats.

Lee died in 1949 and in 1950 Mrs. Anna Adamson was living along at 134 Granville Ave. She continued there for 1952 and 1954, at which time the transcriptions end. Son Richard B. apparently married prior to 1950 and is listed with Mrs. Ethel N. Adamson for 1950-54.

WEST LOS ANGELES, Aug 15 - Lee Adamson, 79 of 134 Granville Ave., died in Santa Monica Hospital yesterday of injuries suffered when he fell as he attempted to get out of a wheel chair at 140 Granville Ave. The accident occurred last Saturday.

Lee Harmon ADAMSON and Anna BLAKE were married on 12 April 1899 in Rogers, Benton County, Arkansas.⁷⁴ Anna BLAKE, daughter of James Wyeth BLAKE and Amelia J. CROWDER, was born on 23 August 1871 in Benton County, Arkansas.^74,88 She died on 6 March 1977 at the age of 105 in Los Angeles, California.
