82. Jacob D. FRY⁴⁰ was born on 10 February 1769 in Shenandoah County, Virginia.³⁸ He died on 23 December 1818 at the age of 49 in Frederick County, Virginia.³⁸

Jacob married about 1792 to Elizabeth Bean, born 1776, died 1838.

The Bean family believe that it was the Jacob, son of Jacob & Molly Fry, that was married to the daughter of Mordecai Bean, Betsy (Elizabeth), wife of Jacob Frye, as named in a lawsuit following the settlement of Mordecai's estate.
I believe instead Betsy Bean was married to Jacob Frye, son of JOSEPH Fry and the Bean family and FindAGrave are likely in error.

Jacob was a grandson of Benjamin Fry, and a son of Jacob & Molly Fry (NO - son of Joseph Fry & Anne Funk). Jacob married Elizabeth "Betsy" Bean, a daughter of Mordecai and Judith "Juda" (Hammond) Bean, in 1792. They were wed by the Rev. Streit and had three children, all named after her side of the family: James, Mordecai B., and Judith.
There is a picture of his grave marker, St. Johns Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hayfield, Frederick Co, VA. Although he is listed as Jacob D. Fry - the stone has only Jacob Fry.
Sacred to the memory of JACOB FRY Who departed this life December 23rd 1838 Aged 69 years 9 Months and 13 days. "JESUS said I am the Resurrection and the life he that beleiveth [sic] in me though he were dead yet shall he live".

Jacob D. FRY and Elizabeth "Betsy" BEAN were married about 1792. Elizabeth "Betsy" BEAN, daughter of Mordecai BEAN and Judith HAMMOND, was born on 3 May 1777. She died on 16 March 1838 at the age of 60 in Frederick County, Virginia.

Jacob and "Betsy" were married by the Rev. Streit in 1792. They had three children, all named after her side of the family: James, Mordecai B, and Judith.
