114. Catherine FRY^65,92,93 was born on 31 May 1787 in Virginia.^38,94 She died on 11 November 1857 at the age of 70.³⁸

When Catherine Fry married Capt. Abraham, her mother Rachel Speers Fry Bird, became his mother-in-law. However, Capt. Abraham's father had sometime previously married Rachel, so Rachel was also Capt Abraham's stepmother.

Catherine FRY and Capt. Abraham BIRD Jr. were married on 30 November 1803 in Fayette County, Kentucky.^92,95 Capt. Abraham BIRD Jr.^92,94,96,97, son of Abraham BIRD and Catherine/Rachel ZIEGLER, was born in 1780 in Shenandoah County, Virginia.⁹⁶ He died after 1850 at the age of 70 in Missouri.⁹⁶

Account of sale of estate reveals Abraham Bird bought several items. There are account charged to both Abraham Byrd and John Davie. There is a receipt signed by Susanna Fry for property rec'd from the Executors.
The List of Bonds in Abraham Byrds hands includes one to Abraham Bryd, Senr [his father who was still living at this time]

1850 Census. Miller Twp, Marion Co MO. Abraham age 70 and Catherine age 63 were both living with son Mark. Birthplace of both was Virginia.

Page 2, says that Abraham served as a Missouri state Senator two terms. He lost his fortune due to dishonesty of employees, and attempted to retrieve it by a trip to California in 1849, which resulted in his death and his burial in the Pacific Ocean, 13 Oct 1850. The book has the exact dates of death and birth of his wife Catherine Fry.

274	iii.	Matilda BIRD^65,98 was born on 5 March 1808. She died on 8 May 1887 at the age of 79. Matilda married John Kleiser, 8 May 1826. I never found the family in 1850 1860 Census. Dist 1, Shelby Co, KY Hh 440 J. Clyser, 62, farmer, b. KY Matilda, age 52, b. KY Robert H. age 32. Mary S. age 27. John J. age 5. Albert H. age 1 [I believe all of these are part of Robert's family - his wife and children. 1870 Shelby Co - John G. Kliser, age 16, was boarding with the family of Joseph Adams, counted in the household following his aunt Kate Hall. I didn't find his parents, or grandparents. 1880 Census. Shelbyville, Shelby Co, KY, Hh 128 John Hall, age 68, b. KY. Kate, age 50, wife, b. KY, as were her parents. Lizzie, 23, daughter. Mattie B., 17, daughter Matilda Kleysor, mother-in-law, age 73, b. KY as were her parents. In 1870, the Halls were in Shelby Co - Matilda not with them. John Hall, age 57, b. KY. Kate, age 42, b. KY Lizzie 17. Mattie 10. Catherine Green, domestic servant, age 42, b. Ireland 1860, the Halls were in Shelbyville, Shelby Co. John Hall, age 47, b. KY Kate, 32, b. KY Woodford, age 21, Sallie 16, Jimmie 14, Lizzie 7, John 4.
275	iv.	Kittie BIRD⁹⁸ was born circa 1810. She died circa 1810 at the age of 0. If there was a child Kittie, she died as an infant. This may be a confusion with the daughter Catharine.
276	v.	Mary Forman BIRD^65,98 was born on 5 April 1812. She died in 1888 at the age of 76. Mary married Albert Whaley, circa 1826 - 21 Dec 1826, Ralls Co, MO. 1850 Census. NC Children born in Missouri: Mary Jane 14, Martha Ann 12 Samuel Wiley, age 9, birth place marked over and looks mostly like NC born in Illinois: Abraham Calvin 7. Martin Luther 3. 278	vii.	Catharine BIRD^65,98 was born on 3 January 1817. She died on 17 February 1853 at the age of 36 in Cass County, Illinois. Some databases list a daughter Kittie - since that was the nickname for Catharine and no other records of such a daughter have been found, it's obviously a confusion and duplication of Catherine. Catharine married David Rice Downing, 14 Mar 1833. 1850 Census. Cass Co, Illinois, Hh 616 David Downing, age 34, b. KY Catharine, age 33, b. KY Children born in MO: Nathan 15, Nelson 13, Wm 10, and Mary 8.
279	viii.	Abram Preston BIRD^65,98 was born on 23 August 1818 in Kentucky. He died on 16 October 1863 at the age of 45. Abraham married Elizabeth Richmond, b. 10 Nov 1810 in Maryland. They married 11 Apr 1839. In 1850, Mark & Araminta were still living in Marion Co MO in Miller Township. Mark gave his occupation as Cooper and did state he was born in KY, age 28. Araminta was age 20, born in MO. Catharine & Abraham Bird, Mark's parents were living with them. Also listed as being in the same dwelling was Abraham P. Bird, age 32, also a cooper & also born in Kentucky. Presumably Mark's brother. His wife was Elizabeth, age 28, born in Maryland. They had children born in Missouri: Francis R. age 11 [male], Abraham age 8, Susan S. age 4, Catherine age 2.
280	ix.	Emily Ann BIRD⁹⁸ was born on 9 September 1820 in Kentucky. Emily married Samuel Robert Harwood Wylie, 2 May 1839, Hannibal, Marion Co, MO. 1850 Census. Virginia, Cass Co, Illinois, Hh 560 S. R. H. Wylie, age 38, cabinet maker, b. KY Emily A., age 30, b. KY Born in MO: Wm. B. 10. Matilda C. age 6. Born in IL: Mary E., age 2, and Abraham N., age 3 months. Rachel married Richard Bridgeford, 17 May 1846, Hannibal, Marion Co, MO. The 1850 census indicates Richard had been married before and had several children from that marriage. 1850 Census. Dist. 4, Audrain Co, MO Hh 135 Richard Bridgeford, age 35, farmer, b. KY Rachael, age 25, b. KY Amanda, 16, b. KY Born in MO: Sarah M. 11, Sarah F. age 7. William age 5. These children probably young enough to be Rachel's: John H. age 3 and Abraham, age 8 months.
283	xii.	Amanda Melvina BIRD⁹⁸ was born on 26 August 1828. She died on 7 March 1873 at the age of 44. Amanda married Henry Martyn Williams, circa 1846 1850 Census. Dist 73, Ralls Co, MO Hh 79 Henry M. Williams, age 22, farmer, b. VA Amanda, age 22, b. MO Henry F., age 2. In 1860, they were back in Miller Twp, Marion Co, MO Hh 486 Henry M. Williams, age 32, b.
