548. Mark Elmer FRY²²² was born on 4 January 1885 in Butte County, California.¹⁶⁹ He died on 3 June 1941 at the age of 56 in Ely, White Pine County, Nevada.

In 1910 Elmer was living in Wyandotte Twp in Butte Co. He was a Teamster with his own team. Elmer and Hazel both born in California; they had been married 3 years, one child had been born but was not living. James McGuire, age 45, widower, was a boarder. He was born in Ireland and was doing odd jobs for a living.

Mark Elmer Fry lived at 225 Montgomery in Oroville, Butte Co, CA. He was 33, born 4 Jan 1885. He was a Mechanic at Feather River Garage, 314 Downer, Oroville. Mrs. Kate Fry of 121 Montgomery, Oroville, would always know his address. Medium height and build, brown eyes, dark hair.

In 1920, there was an Elmer Frye, living as a boarder in another household in Butte Co. No age, birthplace, etc. given.

There was obviously a divorce from Hazel.

Mark Elmer is buried in the Forbestown cemetery near his parents. I did not find him in the CA Death Index, nor did I find Hazel. Perhaps they did not die in California. In fact, the following death certificate shows that by 1941, he was married to a Mildred and had recently moved to Reno, Nevada.

Mark Elmer Fry of Reno, Nevada, died in the White Pine Hospital, Ely, White Pine Co, Nevada where he had been for 36 hours - he had been in the community for 3 weeks. He died on 3 Jun 1941 of a ruptured gastric ulcer and general peritonitis. Fry was born 4 Jan 1884 in Forbestown, California. He ws married - his wife Mildred Fry, was 43 years old. His usual employment was ranch work but was currently unemployed. His father was Bruce Fry, born Missouri; his mother Catherine Hansen. Mrs. Mark Elmer Fry of Oroville, CA was the informant. The body was removed to Oroville for burial.

Mark Elmer FRY and Hazel Fern BEAN were married on 25 November 1906 in Oroville, Butte County, California.²²⁴ They²²⁴ were divorced before 1920. Hazel Fern BEAN was born in 1888.²²⁴

Mark Elmer FRY and Mildred S [FRY] were married before 1930. Mildred S [FRY] was born (date unknown).

Mildred may have been previously married to Winfield Scott. Found on Newpapers.com, the Nevada State Journal, Reno, Nevade, 23 Jul 1939: Modesto Allred, married Winfield Scott, Jr., son of Mrs. Elmer Fry of Reno and Mr. Winfield Scott, Sr. of Torrey, Utah.
