In 1910, John [middle initial looked like "A" that year] was living near Albert. He was age 22 [actually more like 32], married 4 years. Listed as Merchant. Fay was age 23. They had no children. Fay was b. TX, her parents b. "unknown".

Most Prominent Young Couple Have a Beautiful Wedding
What has been pronounced by the newspapers and those in attendance as being the most beautiful wedding to occur in Whitewright, Texas, accurred in the M.E. Church, South, of that city on last Thursday evening at 8 o'clock, when Mr. John P. Haden of Durant and Miss Mary Fay Lewis were most impressively and solemnly united in marriage by the Rev. C. Stubblefield, pastor of the first Baptist church of Durant.

...After the wedding the happy and handsome couple were escorted to the palatial home of the bride's parents, where a most elegant reception was accorded them. Seventy-two guests were present. They were recipients of presents aggregating in value over four hundred dollars.
On their departure from Whitewright they were escorted to the depot by fully two hundres people, where amid showers of rice and ol slippers they were bid farewell....
Mr. Haden is the junior member of the firm of J. C. Haden & Sons, the dry goods merchants of the city...
His wife is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Lewis of Whitewright, Texas.... For two years she has superintended the elocutionary department of the Durant College...

Funeral services for John P. Haden, 82, were held at Durant, Okla., Monday morning and burial was in Oak Hill cemetery, Whitewright. Mr. Haden died Saturday in a Durant hospital after an extended illness.
A native of Ladonia, Texas, Mr. Haden was born July 15, 1877. He was married to Miss Mary Faye Lewis of whitewright, Dec 21, 1905, and they had lived in Durant since that year. He was employed as salesman for Brown Shoe Company for 30 years before he retired i 1942. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home address, 904 W. Elm; and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Haynes of El Paso and Mrs. Carroll Low of Dallas.

The announcement of the engagement of Miss Mary Fay Lewis and Mr. John Haden came in the nature of a surprise to the many friends of this popular couple. Mr. Harden is one of Durant's sterling young business men and Miss Lewis, who is originally from Whitewright, Texas, is one of the popular teachers at the Presbyterian College. The wedding takes place on the 21st at Whitewright, Texas.
