25	v.	Joanna BROOKS was born on 13 February 1804 in Caswell County, North Carolina. She died on 28 June 1848 at the age of 44 in Covington, Tipton County, Tennessee. Henry Melton was first married to Elizabeth Brooks, her older sister, 9 Dec 1819, Giles Co, TN. He married Joannah, 30 Mar 1824 after the death of Elizabeth.
