70. Mary WATLINGTON^{52,56,110,111} was born on 5 June 1807 in Caswell County, North Carolina.¹¹¹

I have found in Guilford Co, NC, in 1850, p.433b
John Brooks, age 47, b. Caswell NC, Farmer. C. B. Brooks, female, age 35 b. Caswell Co. Jonathan age 22, b. Guilford as were the rest of the children, Elizabeth age 21, William age 18, Mary 14, Martha 11, and Hannah age 2. This is obviously a second wife for John, who he probably married a year or two before Hannah's birth.

John Lewis BROOKES, son of Jonathan BROOKES and Ann LEWIS, was born in 1803 in Caswell County, North Carolina. He died between 1870 and 1880 at the age of 67.

Caswell Deed Book BB, p.245-7. John Brooks of Guilford Co sells to George Brooks [probably his brother] of Caswell, 294 acres on Moon's Creek adjacent Thomas Graves, Robt. Swift, James Atkins and 105 acres called the Swift tract adj Caswell Tate, Ralph Glaze, the Page old line, Sarah Brooks, Thomas Watlington. 2 Jan 1832.

I wonder if Mary died and John Lewis remarried. A list of children for John & Mary Watlington includes Iverson James, Jonathan, Ann Elizabeth Gardner Brookes, William Lewis, Mary Frances Graves Brookes, Martha Jane Brookes, Sarah Virginia Bracken Brookes.

The 1850 Census has a John Lewis with many of these same children. I suspect this is the same family:
