Mrs. Julia Wooten Dies at Her Home in Kinston
Kinston, Feb. 26. - Mrs. Julia Wooten, wife of Thomas C. Wooten, one of the best known lawyers in this part of the State, died at Parrott Memorial Hospital here yesterday at 10:45 am after a long period of poor health. She was 58 years of age and a native of an upstate family. Mrs. Wooten before her marriage was Miss Julia Holderness. She was the sister of George Holderness of Tarboro, long a member fo the General Assembly. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Wooten is survived by one step-daughter, Mrs. Jack Saunders, of this city, in addition to her husband. She was a woman of excellent character traits and had many friends here and elsewhere. the funeral was hel today from the residence of Mrs. Saunders.

Dixon the executrix therein Mentioned. And the hand writing of the Said Jno. C. Dixon by the oath and examination of Jas. T. Sugg, W. W. Dail & George W. Sugg, who being duly sworn doth depose and say each for himself, deposeth and saith - that he is well acquainted with the handwriting fo the Said Jno C. Davis. that having often seen his writing the last ten or twelve years and that they verily beleive that the paper writing now shown and which bears date the 6th day of March 1885, purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of the Said Jno C. Dixon is in the handwriting of the said Jno. C. Dixon and that the signature of said will is the signiture of the said Jno C. Dixon.

End Came sunday Night. Prominently Related - Licensed to Practice Law Many Years Ago - Was in Poor Health
The funeral of Thomas Christian Wooten, 62 years of age, was held Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. ...Mr. Wooten's death occurred sunday night at 9 o'clock following a brief illness, though he had not been in the best of health for several years.
....Mr. Wooten was born at Elm Grove, a few miles south of here, in 1860. He was educated in the schools here and at the University of North Carolina. He was licensed to the bar in 1883. He practiced at Snow Hill ans here. He was a son of the late John F. Wooten, of Kinston, and Mary Adams Christian, who was a member of a prominent family in Virginia. He married Miss Mary Moore of Snow Hill, and after her death, Mrs. Julia Holderness Dixon, of Caswell County, now dead.
...Mr. Wooten is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Saunders; one sister, Mrs. W. O. Moseley, and the following brothers and half brothers; Dal F., Lloyd and Frank Wooten of Kinston, and Beverly Wooten, of Fort Barnwell.
