When Maggie Peck passed away in 1902 her husband, Martin, buried her on the farm.

In 1903 a group met at Rhea School to organize a cemetery association.

Martin Peck donated approximately 1-1/3 acres for the cemetery. It was named Peck Ridge, but over a period of time was called Rhea. The association incorporated in 1906; one rule was that no one could own more than one lot.

The first Board was:
Martin Peck, President; S. W. Phillips, Vice President;
J. M. Long, Secretary; J. M. Driskill, Treasurer; and
W. E. Roundtree, Director.

In 1929 bricks were purchased to mark lots; in 1942 a chainlink fence and arches, over the north and west gates with the name "Rhea" in center of arch, were constructed.

August 1979 records were updated and 21 stones purchased to mark all unmarked graves. The Leedey Chamber of Commerce erected a directory; the frame was made by Verbon Smith and the chart was made by Pat Murphy.

The cemetery is well maintained by voluntary help several times each year.
