INDEX

[1550] I have not yet confirmed that George and John are brothers, but according to the census records they immigrated at the same time and settled beside each other in Westfield.

d. Westfield (Kings Co.) 17th inst., Margaret STEPHENSON relict of George STEPHENSON, 77th year. Funeral Thursday 1 o'clock from her residence.

[1119] It was originally thought that Isabella's maiden name was Elliot but this may be confused with Armstrong's mother's name.

There are numerous trees that indicate Armstorng married Isabella, d/o Charles Stevenson and Rebecca Sime.

However, it appears that Isabelle Stevenson d/o Charles Stevenson and Rebecca Sime married Thomas Harrison. Both Isabelle and Thomas are buried in the same plot as Charles and Rebecca at St Andrew Rural, Charlotte County, NB. The Isabella married to Armstrong Stephenson is always listed as being of Irish descent, while this family is Scottish.

Date September 17, 1853 - County Saint John - Place Saint John - Newspaper New Brunswick Courier
m. 15th inst., by Rev. R. Knight, Wesleyan Chapel, Westfield (Kings Co.), Armstrong STEPHENSON / Miss Isabella STEPHENSON, both of that place.

Her burial permit clearly states her father was George Stephenson (born in Ireland)

[1555] Is Alice actually Christian A from the 1851 and 1861 census?
