[1285] BUCKLAND, Gladys Ethel (nee Peters). On June 10, 2002. Peacefully in her eighty-sixth year, after a brief, courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband Rexford. Sister of Muriel Bennett (Toronto). Dear mother of Rex (Susan Hanson), Dawn (J. Wallace Sparling), and Joy (Chris Andrews). Loving grandmother of Kent Sparling (Elizabeth Empey), Kelly Sparling (James Torck), Shane Sparling, Amy and Andrew Buckland. Special Nana to Alex, Abigail and Christopher Sparling. A long time member of Riverside Lawn Bowling Club, Day Ladies President of Lachine Curling Club (1978) and a volunteer in the Ladies Auxiliary of Lachine General Hospital. An active member of St. Paul's Church, Lachine, most recently on the Altar Guild.
Our thanks are extended to the staff at Les Floralies, Lachine for their loving care, particularly Louise, Carole, Renald, Dorothee and Mimi. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 377-44th Avenue, Lachine, on Saturday, June 22 at 2 p.m. No visitation, the family will be at the church one hour prior to the service to greet people. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Paul's Anglican Church Resource for Ministry Fund would appreciated.
