Obituary - Mary A. Barrington dies in Sydney at 101.
SYDNEY - Mrs. Mary Ann Barrington, 101, of Sydney, died Wednesday in Spring Garden Villa, Sydney.
Born in Manitoba, she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Mary Ann (MacLean) Sparling. She was a former member fo Holy Redeemer Church, Sydney.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Hilda Day, Sydney; Mrs Elsie Gillis, Weymouth, Mass.; Mrs. Mary Burns, Baddeck; three sons Jack and Frank, both of Sydney; Harry, New Waterford; 48 grand children, 92 great-grandchilren and four great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John, a daughter, Marion; a son, Yorke.
The body will be in T.W. Curry Parkview chapel after 7 p.m. today. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony Daniel Church, Sydney, Rev. Douglas Murphy officiating.
