[55] Held 18 acres in Graigue from 1 May 1780. The lease was in the name of Philip, Catherine his wife and Samuel Sparling, sixth son of John Sparling of Kileheen - who we found in Askeaton. This is exactly as we know it, Catherine nee Cronsberry - an Adam Cronenberry held an identical property nearby, same acreage and date, Adam, his wife Ann and eldest son Christopher. - my guess is that Catherine was sister to Adam - the plan being that the brothers in law would support each other

Christopher Sparling of Cumeen held a lease on 5 acres since 25 March 1824. The original holders were the Cunninghams, but an alienation penalty had been enforced.
Christopher held 13 acres of land in Graigue since 25 March 1819. He was the only name on the lease.
Christopher aso held 8 acres in Rower from 25 March 1827 - sublet from Thomas McDonnald
