Settled in Adare.
From the Dunraven Papers 1827:
George Sparling held 26 acres of land in Rower since 1 May 1792, in the name of himself, now dead, his wife Catherine and a son Christopher, aged 7 in 1792. So born 1785.
[65] Likely that Catherine is the "daughter" of Adam Stork and Ann Rynard bp 10 nov 1765

John is a stray. This is the placement that Bud Sparling uses. Another possible placement is as the son of Christopher Sparling and Dorothy Cornelius who was also born in 1788. But as there was a Jonathan born about 1812 to this couple it is possible that John had died prior to this.
John is recorded as a discharged soldier resident on Lot 15, Con 9 in Goulbourn on 30 Oct 1822. This was land sold by John Sparling to John Macpherson for 12/10/0 in 1840.

Another Deed [No 885 16 587016] dated 27 Feb 1832, suggests that one of Georges daughters married an Eaton of Tougha. This document conveys the arrangements made by Philip Eaton when his son, Robert Eaton of Adare, a grocer, married Catherine Lane. George Sparling had originally taken a lease on a 50 x 200 ft plot in Adare on 09 Jan 1808 from Lord Adare. This was later sub divided be tween his son, Christopher, and Philip Eaton: two houses were erected on the site. That same Philip Eaton also held a lease, dated 08 May 1790, on 54 acres of land at
Churchmolulla, Tuogh. This ties in with George of Rour, and his son, Christopher, who married Ann Daly in 1807. So we be lieve that a Sparling girl, daughter of George and sister of Christopher, married Philip Eaton in about 1808, with the transfer of the lease and new house as part of her dowry. Robert should be their eldest son, of courseif he mar ried when he was about 25, he had to be born in 1807. The Eaton / Lane marriage took place in St Johns, Limerick on 28 Feb 1832, and a daughter Eliza was christened on 14 Feb 1833.
[1481] This George is a stray. GEORGE Sparling (circa 1805) was a tailor, and had a lease on a house and yard worth 1/14/= from Rev George Ormsby at Templemore, Eliogarty Barony, Co Tipperary in 1850. He married Ann Bailey, according to the death indexes of his two sons in Australia.
[1511] There is also the marriage of Elizabeth Sparling to Patrick Crowe at St Munchin's on 20 jun 1820. This may be the same woman as this was the home parish of her older brother Christopher at that time.
