Sir:

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt from your Office of application for pension No. 25,124, and to return it herewith, with such information as is furnished by the files of this Office.

It appears from the Records of this Office that Mathias Hepner was enlisted on the Second day of June, 1812, at [blank], to serve Eighteen months ["years" lined out], and was assigned to Co. [blank] Regiment of [blank]. ["On the Muster Roll of Co. --- of that Regiment for the months of ---, 18--, he is reported" lined out]

Capt. B. K. Pierces rolls of the U. S. Artillery show him discharged June 1 or 8, 1814, term expired.
