I, Lawson. E. McKinney Late 1st Lieut Co. H 33" Indiana Volunteer Infantry, Certify that Anderson Bastian Decd. was a Member of Said Company and Regt and that he had when he enlisted in Said Co & Regt the appearance of a Stout Robust and able-boddied Man and that shortly after his enlisment in Said Co & Regt he had a severe Spell of sickness and ever there after was so Invalid to more or less extent Very seldom able for duty most of the time Semingly effected from Rheumatism Accompanied by a dry caugh. I further certify that I have frequently Saw Said Anderson Bastian since the Late War and that he still Semed to be effected with Said Rheumatism and Cough.

I further certify that I have no pecuniary interest whatever in this Matter
