In the matter of the Pension Claim of Elizabeth Bastin No. 213979 Widow of Henry A. Bastin private Cp H. 33rd Indiana Vols.

Personally appeared before me, a Clerk Circuit Court, in and for said county, and State Ephriam Baugh, aged 51 years, P. O. address, Spencer, County of Owen, State of Indiana, a person of lawful age, who, being duly sworn, declares in relation to the aforesaid case as follows:

I have been well acquainted with the above named Henry A. Bastin, and his widow Elizabeth Bastin for more than 30 years. I have Known her well ever Since the death of Said Henry A Bastin the soldier above named her husband, And I personally Know that she has not remarried since his death, and that she still remains the widow of said Henry A. Bastin late private Co H. 33" Indiana Vols.

I further state that I am not related to her in any way.

I further declare that I have no interest in said case [and] am not concerned in its prosecution.
