GENERAL AFFIDAVIT.

In the matter of Pension Claim under certificate No. 32038, of Elizabeth A. Bowlin widow of Christopher Bowlin late of Co. B. 67^th Regt.

Personally came before me, a Notary Public in and for aforesaid County and State Thomas B. Payton, aged thirty seven years, a citizen of the Town of Paragon, County of Morgan State of Indiana, well known to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who being duly sworn, declares in relation to aforesaid case as follows:

That he is well acquainted with the family of Elizabeth A. Bowlin and has been for thirty years and knows her daughter Mary A. Bowlin and knows from personal observation that she is blind is some way afflicted otherwise so that she does not walk without some one to lead her and she has been in this helpless condition since the year 1870 or longer.

He further declares that he has no interest in said case, and is not concerned in its prosecution, and is not related to said applicant.
