  31. NC-MAYFLOWER. A mailing list for the discussion and sharing of information regarding the activities of the NC Mayflower Society, the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of North Carolina. Genealogical queries are also acceptable as long as they directly relate to actual Mayflower ancestors and/or their descendants.   32. OREGON-TRAIL. A mailing list for those who want to research their family history concerning anything to do with the Oregon Trail. The history of the trail is an appropriate topic for discussion as well as postings of wagon train lists, and anything else genealogical including stories of life as a pioneer, diaries, queries, books, etc. - these are all welcome! Western states involved would mostly be Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington; maybe even California, Utah and others. Time periods include around 1840-1900.   33. ORPHAN-TRAINS. A mailing list is for the discussion of the orphan trains that carried thousands of children to new homes in any and all states, and anything pertaining to them from the 1850s to 1930. Discussions pertaining to anything related to these children, circumstances, finding their families, history of these trains, etc. are encouraged.   34. Overland-Trails. Devoted to discussions concerning the history, preservation, and promotion of the Oregon, California, Sante Fe, and other historic trails in the Western USA. This list is sponsored by the Oregon-California Trails Association (OCTA) which is dedicated to the preservation, education and appreciation of the 19th Century emigrant trails. OCTA has conducted a comprehensive survey of emigrant documents (e.g., letters, diaries, journals) and compiled the names found in these documents in a database that can be searched for individual names (by SOUNDEX). Searches can not be done on-line and there is a fee for the service. Information on the database is automatically sent to new subscribers to the list. A mailing list for the discussion and sharing of information regarding historical, passenger and genealogical data related to post World War II emigration to South Africa (mainly the period 1948-1961).   36. SANTA-FE-TRAIL. A mailing list for sharing ideas, adventures, questions, and answers regarding the Santa Fe Trail. To help with your questions, there are many regular members of the list, with a wide range of expertise and resources, who are ready and willing to assist and guide you on your search.
