Virginia Miller, 90, Canan Station, Altoona, died Monday at Valley View Home.
She was born in Somerset, daughter of the late Michael and Ella Mae (Beegle) Coons. She married Kenneth R. Miller Sr. on Oct. 21, 1939. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1987.
Surviving are two sons: Kenneth R. Jr. (Linda) of Duncansville and Gary L. (Trudy) of Juniata Gap, Altoona; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a brother, Patrick in Texas; and a sister, Mary Krause of Somerset.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald L.; a brother, Paul; and a sister, Velma.
Virginia was a member of Canan Station Mennonite Church, Jobel Court 11, Senior Citizens and AARP. She was a past member of the Eldorado Kiwanis Club and enjoyed crocheting.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, and 10 to the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home Inc., 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville (www.liebegottbrown.com), Pastor Jack Styer officiating. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
