LEWISTOWN - John Ciecierski, 85, of Outlook Pointe, formerly of 130 Terrace Blvd, died at 4:55 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002 at Lewistown Hospital. Born Nov. 21, 1916, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late John and Wanda Helen (Price) Ciecierski Rockoway. His wife, Manice Ciecierski preceded him in death Oct. 1, 2002. Surviving are: two sons, Gary and Walter Ciecierski, both of Lewistown; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Manice) Peace, Blandon; a sister, Gladys Plessinger, Palmyra; ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Pry, and seven brothers and two sisters. He retired from American Viscose in 1978 with 49 years. He was also self-employed with Ciecierski Plumbing and Heating. He was a charter member of Calvary Bible Church and a member on various boards of the church. He was also a member on many bowling leagues and the senior games, and of Juniata Terrace Borough Council. He was a member of the Sportsmen Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown with Rev. Howard Houtz officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
