I (Fred POTTER) have located the LWT of Elijah SPROWLl, (#138. Page 63, R: April 1837, in Wayne WALKER's Abstracts file) He lists his heirs as: Wife Martha, Mother Hannah, and three brothers Obadiah, Elliott and William SPROWL, and Margaret STARRAT, (not 18). Margaret STARRAT age unk. but not 18, would probably have been a servant or a lodger. If she were a daughter, surely he would have listed her after his wife, and before his siblings. I can not find a Margaret in the STARRAT listing, or any other STARRATTs in the immediate SPROWL or BOWLBY families. Martha and Elijah had been married for 16 years, so it is unlikely but not impossible to have a married daughter (which would be the only reason I can think of for her surname of STARRAT).
