The father was born in Darke County, OH, June 3, 1803, and was the son of Uriah BACON, a native of Ireland, who came to America about the close of the American Revolution. He served in our war of 1812, and died in Shelby County, IL. Albert BACON was married in Darke County, OH, January 12, 1826: his wife was born in Green Count, OH, May 17, 1807. In 1846, Mr. BACON cane to White County, IN whre Mrs BACON died April 3, 1852. August 18, 1853, he married Miss MILLER, who died December 5, 1854. April 12, 1855 he married Parmelia SHOUP. In the fall of 1858, he moved to Missouri, but returned to White County, in 1862. In October 1881 he went to Los Angeles, California, where he now resides. In 1865, he engaged in merchandising at Star City, and in 1870 bought the farm of 165 acres on which he now lives.
