Phyllis G. JACKSON, 93, of 930 Washington Street, Huntingdon, died at
6:35 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2001, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. Her
death was unexpected.
She was born April 10, 1908, in Huntingdon, the daughter of the late
Ross and Elsie (Smearman) Guisler. She married Robert H. Jackson Nov.
15, 1940, at the St. lames Lutheran Church, Huntingdon, with Rev. Edmund
Manges officiating. She was preceded in death by her husband Aug. 27,
1991.
She is survived by a sister, Anna Mae Strickler of Huntingdon, a
brother, J. Donald Guisler of Huntingdon, and by 12 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, William "Wid' Guisler, and a
sister, Jean Martin.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Huntingdon Presbyterian Church and a
life long resident of the borough. She attended Huntingdon public
schools and graduated from Huntingdon High School in 1926.
She was employed by J.C. Blair Company, later the Mead Corporation,
retiring in 1972 as a secretary with over 40 years of service.
She was a former charter member of the Diamond Valley Social Club and
former member of the Huntingdon Country Club.
She resided at her Washington Street home since 1961.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am., Monday, June 25, at the John
B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington Street, Huntingdon, with the Rev.

Leslie R. F. Papp officiating.
Interment will be made at the Philipsburg Cemetery, Philipsburg.
