Letter # 2-Attached to Miller Application # 195

[sic] *(can't read to whom the letter was written to)

My mother is a white woman and she married Jack Rowe which was my father, and he died and now she has married a man by the name of Prater, her name is Joan[sic] Prater.

Yours truly,

James Rowe

*(I can't figure out exactly what this letter means to if it is the same James Rowe or not. James' mother is not white, she died about 1859, according to James. So this letter may be placed in the wrong miller application packet, or it is another James Rowe. Also the name of the mother is very hard to read.)
