Mother - Feb 13, 1872 (Shot and Killed by Ezekiel Proctor. He did not mean to kill her but was shooting at her Husband James Kesterson and she jumped in between them and got shot instead)

REMARKS

My maiden name was Julia A. Hilberbrand. My first husband's name was Jesse Beck now dead. (He was also know as Blacksut Beck and was killed at the Goingsnake Massacure April 15, 1872) My second husband's name was Samuel Ratliff He is dead (He killed a man and was shot in a gun fight with deputy Marshalls who were trying to bring him in for trial. Killed 20 Oct 1880.

(She had a son with him but he is not listed on this application because he died when he was abt 3 years old. Him name was William Ratliff and he is buried in the Beck Cem. near Colcord OK.)

My third husbands name was Tuck Bee.

Susannah Chandler and Sabra Beck say that they have known her for 40 years and that she is who she says is. Also singing are John Beck (Son) and Thornton Talbot date:10 Oct 1096

Yes money and land, Cherokee Indian. (Under this head the applicant may give any additonal facts which will assist in proving his claim.) John Beck, Charley Wofford, Mattie Dial and Willora C. J. Bee drew grass money in Cherokee Nation.
