He may have come to the USA in 1901 or1903. Was in the military band in the USA in 1907-1910 and in the Italian military in 1901 (I have an original Libretto Personale dated from that time. I don't read Italian, however, there are words I can decipher that indicate military terms). Any information would help. He died on January 21, 1924 in Eastland, Texas, USA. He was married to Grace "Pelacano" or "Pecano." They had 7 children - 2 boys and 5 girls, and their two sons, Giacomo and Antonio Sorci, came to America via Ellis Island in 1894. 9. My mother is Antonina Marie Caruso born 1918 in the United States. I have been able to trace back to her parents, her father Philipo Caruso born 10/12/1881 in Sicily. Came to the United States via New York on the USS Germainia approximately 1900. His father was Francesco Caruso and his mother Antonia Ganci. I do not have date of birth on them, but I do know they were born and lived in the Province of Di Trapani, Comune: Di Salemi. My maternal grandmother was Francesca Giglio born 1886 in Palermo. Her parents were Giuseppe Giglio and Maria Palumbo also born and lived in the same province and community. I do not have years on them thought. Any leads you might have would be greatly appreciated.
