Coffee's (Coffey, Coffy) documented as being born in County Roscommon, Ireland in the 1861 England Census Records
The early years of the England Census records infrequently report the County of birth in Ireland, but notation of more than just the country becomes more frequent from the 1861 census on.
There were many Coffeys, Coffees that are listed as being born in Ireland without a specific county, the largest amount being in Lancashire County but significant numbers in Cheshire, Middlesex, Yorkshire and other counties as well.
Potential Coffee, Coffey Records not included in this compilation:
There was a Thomas and Annie Coffee listed as being born in Castletown, Ireland in the Lancashire, Liverpool census. I have not included this record because although a Castletown is present in County Roscommon, it is present in 21 other counties as well. A Thomas Coffee in the Lancashire, Ashton Under Lyme Civil Parish Census was listed as being born in Connaught Ireland. This area can include Mayo, Roscommon, Galway, Sligo as well as Leitrim so it is not included in this compilation either.
