Mallow Field Club Journal

No. 7 - 1989

The editors are pleased to present Mallow Field Club Journal number seven for 1989, which includes articles of specific interest to Mallow and surrounding area.

We are living in an era of rapid development, and the face of Mallow has changed dramatically in the past few years. The new by-pass road and the junctions and landscaping associated with it was the main thrust in this direction. More recently Tuckey's Hill, Broom Lane - Bellevue and Spa Glen are undergoing major improvements.

We are endeavouring in our Journal to record these events. More than ever before we need to be aware of these developments, to record them, and to reproduce relevant photographs, articles and anecdotal material for future generations. We are indeed most grateful to readers who have provided us with photographs, letters and articles relating to Mallows past. We again appeal for further photographic and manuscript material for use in our Journal.

To date Mallow Field Club Journal has been favourably received at home and especially by Mallow people living overseas. We feel that this edition [No. 7] will be as well received as the others were.
