Jane's Genealogy Jigsaw
Recommended Reading
Introduction
There are currently a lot of genealogy books available. Listed below are books that I either own or have borrowed; I own those marked with an asterisk--and probably wouldn't mind owning most of the others as well! I have tried to break them down into the categories listed below.
Just for fun, I've also included a list of novels that in some way or another, deal with genealogy. The vast majority are Mysteries, but so far there are two other categories: The Immigrant Experience and what I call Family Sagas -- fictionalized retellings covering several generations of a family.
In addition, there is a section of Children's Books, which deal with genealogy and related issues, such as adoption, the immigrant experience, orphan trains, and a variety of historical subjects.
And, if this is not enough, many more books can be found on Other People's Lists.
