The Whitewater Valley Genealogical Association met at the Trinity Episcopal Parish House June 19. The meeting was opened by Pat Cudworth, president. Doug Brown installed the officers for 2012-2013. The officers are President Pat Cudworth, Vice President John Johnson, Secretary Pat Summan and Treasurer Sue Frank.

The minutes of the last meeting were approved. The checking account showed $355.59 and savings $1,677.53. Several paid their dues at this meeting.

Jim Wicker is still working on a booklet which will be for sale at the time of the bicentennial. He is going to check with the library and see about copyright on pictures.

A brochure was received from Spring Grove Cemetery at Cincinnati about their activities and tours for this year. We also received the Wabash County Genealogy Society newsletter.

Susan Spence volunteered to help do obit cards at library. Sandy Brown will show her what needs to be done.

The bicentennial is just a year away and there are still positions that need volunteers. Jim Wicker expressed concern that he was asked to work on costumes for the play but hasn�t been contacted. Heritage Days will be October 27 and 28 and there may be another tour of the Newkirk House. Franklin County Pioneer Days is October 11-13. The joint meeting with the Wayne County Genealogical Association has been rescheduled for September 18. They are in the process of moving their library and need to work on this. They are only changing rooms in the church.

John Johnson showed the City Cemetery booklet he purchased recently and also talked about the recent house and garden tour. Members expressed concern about the house at 3rd and Eastern.

Johnson served refreshments. The next meeting will be July 17 at the Trinity Episcopal Parish House.
