The Whitewater Valley Genealogy Association met Tuesday, February 17,2009 in the Trinity Episcopal Church parish house at 7 pm. Karen Creamer called the meeting to order. There were ten members present. The treasurer's report was given by Bob Price and Nancy Price read the minutes of the January meeting. Both were approved. A copy of the treasurer's report is attached. Pat Summan has indexed the Pioneer Cemetery names and put it on the web site. Sandy Brown has permission to index the Showalter-Blackwell-Long funeral home records and to put the index on the WVGA web site only. WVGA is going to check with the Miller Center to see if the Heritage Days is scheduled for 2009. Pat Summan has the tree that was used in the display for 2008 Heritage Days. Also Charlie Hughes asked about his easel that was used in 2008. A discussion was held pertaining to WVGA setting up their library in the Parish House. Bob Price will check with the church group to see if this is a possibility as soon as some guide lines are set up by the WVGA group. Following the business meeting members discussed the brick walls they have run into in their family searches. Pat Cudworth as the Pioneer Cemetery record Books for the next month. Refreshment were furnished by Jane Miller and enjoyed by all. The next meeting will be March 17, 2009 at the parish house.
