A. Allen High School. We do not only appreciate the change to new High School, but also have the honor of being the first class to graduate from this new building. When we entered high school four years ago with the thought in mind of higher education, we did not realize the hard problems we would meet to finish our High School course. Our high school education helps each of us to find our best occupation in life and fits us for satisfaction and enjoyment for future service. Although our Class may not be the largest or the most successful class that will ever graduate from the P. A. Allen High School, I hope our records will be gratifying to the faculty and future graduating classes. S. - Martha Goose --------------------------------------------------- (only the rhymes mentioning people are included) Homer Markley, pudding and pie, Kissed the girls, but they did't cry. Instead of weeping and getting sore, They only laughed and asked for more. Walter H. sat on a wall, Sad but true, for a girl he did fall. It took all the charms of Katherine N., To get Walter H. on his feet again. Pete and Rosie went up the hill To fetch a pail of water. Rosie slipped and almost fell, But Pete, he Knobly caught her. Margaret, Margaret, quiet (sic) contrary, How does your garden grow? With bleeding-hearts and for-get-me-nots And "Zernie" at the head of the row. Old King Cole Was a merry old soul A merry old sould was L. E. He lived all alone, in his kingly home, No queen could suit him, you see. Bobbie Rogers has gone to sea On the famous ship "Prosperity," When he comes back, I must confess, "He'll marry me," said Catherine S. Where are you going my pretty maid? "I'm going to Michigan, sir", she said. "What will you do there, Skeet, so fair?" "Now you're getting too personal, a declare." Little Glenn Warner sat in a corner Eating an Eskimo pie, There was no one in sight, so he took a big bite, But just then his Dorothy walks by. Goldilocks, Goldilocks, wilt thou be mine? "Thou shalt not wash dishes," said Jimmie divine. But ride in an aeroplane to my palace so fine, And feast all the day on candy sublime. See a pine and pick it up. And all the day you'll have good luck. Gin H. tried it one day on the way to school, But no date with Stuck. What a poor rule! Little Miss Betty sat on the settee, Eating some angel-cake. Along came Bob L. The rest I can't tell, But he ate some for her sweet sake. Sing a song of sixpence, No matter where we go, We see Don Carnall, a driving Wildly, to and fro. =========================================================================== Athletics Football -------- Capt.
