Our group worked with five earlier
burial lists on this cemetery. We cleaned
and re-read these stones while we were repairing in 2000-2001. We made
severl corrections too.
Harrisonville cemetery is one of our early pioneer cemeteries. I believe this cemetery was closed around
1880. This was part of the Methodist Campgrounds in the 1800's. If
you have a biography or anything I can connect, please let me know.
Old pictures, hand sketches, or plat maps are invaluable while restoring a cemetery and preserving our pioneers information. If you have any information on this cemetery please email me. I was told in 2009 these stones were all over the hill. Most were brought back up and placed in the are they now stand. No wonder we couldn't make heads or tails of this one. L. A. Clugh |
