SOUTH BEND - Judy A. Younkin, 65, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, October 5, 2008, in Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 13, 1943, in Knox, IN, to Thomas and Ruby (Armentrout) Berndt. On March 25, 1961, in Koontz Lake, IN, she married Ronald C. Younkin, who survives. Mrs. Younkin is also survived by a daughter, Shelly (Louis Simon) Rajski of South Bend, IN; grandsons, Adam Younkin of Merrillville, IN, and Scott Simon; two sisters, Margie (Ray) Hite of Culver, IN, and Lonnie Burger of South Bend, IN; and a brother, Thomas (Rosie) Berndt of South Bend. Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Younkin was a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
