MISHAWAKA - Ralph E. Young Sr., 70, of Lake Como, Fla., formerly of Mishawaka, died at 6 a.m. Saturday in Regency Place, South Bend, of natural causes. Mr. Young retired from White Hall Industries in 1991 after 10 years of employment, and he had worked at Wheelabrator for 25 years. He was born Dec. 5, 1925, in Mishawaka.

Mr. Young is survived by four daughters, Debra I. Kiefer of South Bend, Cheryl J. Wright and Julia A. Norris, both of Mishawaka, and Renee M. Garcia of Sandia, Texas; a son, Ralph E. Jr. of Mishawaka; 10 grandchildren; four sisters, Marie Hawkins, Virginia Perkins and Christine Dowdy, all of South Bend, and Clara Miles of Muncie, Ind.; and two brothers, Charles and Larry Joe, both of Mishawaka. Mr. Young was a member of Christian Tabernacle, South Bend. He was a Army veteran of the Korean War.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral chapel. Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
