Dennis R. Young
OSCEOLA - Dennis R. "Dan" Young,
65, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23rd, in Memorial Hospital,
South Bend, IN. He was born June 2, 1941, in Elkhart, IN, to
Ralph Raymond and Prudence Irene (Ganger) Young.
He married Virginia Zeiler May 8,
1987, in Mishawaka, IN. She survives. Also surviving are
daughters, Tracy Smith of Elkhart, Kathy Zeiler of
Washington, D.C., Kelly (Bill) Long of Edwardsburg, MI,
Karen (Mike) Demske of Osceola and Nikki (Mike) Moyer
of Edwardsburg; his grandchildren, Brandon and Jessica Smith,
Dustin and Makayla Long, Joseph, Jordan and Jack Demske, and
Brody Moyer; and a great-granddaughter, Kyleigha Smith. He
was preceded in death by a stepson, Kevin Zeiler. He was employed
at All Phase Electric for the past 15 years in sales, and was a
loyal member and past governor of Moose Lodge #599 in Elkhart
where he had held various offices.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the
Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home where there will be a Moose
memorial service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10
a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be at St.
Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the Moose Endowment Fund, c/o Moose
Lodge #599, 1500 County Road 6, Elkhart, IN 46514.
