Martha Marie York, 100, of East 12th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., died following an illness at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, in Countryside Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mishawaka. Mrs. York was born Aug. 2, 1902, in St. Laurence, Belgium, to the late Sariphien and Marie (Brache) Accoe, and had lived in the South Bend, Ind., area since 1977, coming from Stuart, Fla., where she had lived since 1964.

On Nov. 15, 1924, in South Bend, as Martha M. Accoe, she married James H. "Harry" York, who preceded her in death in 1980. She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Lena, Germaine, Erma, Marguerite and Florine; and by two brothers, Achiel and Marcel. She is survived by two sons, James E. York of South Bend and Thomas (Ginny) York of Morristown, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Tammy (Wally) Wall of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Pat (Cindy) York of Osceola, Ind., Lisa (Mike) Wilson of Whitesburg, Tenn., and Scott (Faye) York of Whitesburg; four great-grandchildren, A.J. Fernandez, Damon York, Jamie York and Roan Wall; one great-great-grandchild, Taylor Wall; and by more nieces and nephews. Mrs. York had been a member of Stuart Alliance Church, Stuart, Fla.

Funeral services will be held at noon today, Dec. 4, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, with Rev. Edgar D. Erskin officiating. Cremation will follow at Michiana Crematory, South Bend. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services today in the funeral home.
