NORTH LIBERTY - Walter Judd Worthington,
86, of 1001 S. State St., died at 4:10 a.m. today in his home
after an illness. Mr. Worthington was a farmer. He was born Feb.
18, 1908, in North Liberty, and was a lifelong resident.
On Feb. 18, 1946, in North Liberty, he
married Marguerite Albert. She died May 23, 1989.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Eufemi of South
Bend; a stepson, Gerald Kaufman of Bremen; five
step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; one
step-great-great-grandchild; and three sisters, Susie Bos
of South Bend, Margaret Singleton of Walkerton and Kathryn
Hooten of LaPorte; and two brothers, John ''Jack'' of
Walkerton and Wesley of North Liberty.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in A.M.
Manuel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Friends
may call from 2 to 4 and after 6 p.m. Friday. Memorial
contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
