S. Wayne Worster, 93, of Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Union Avenue, South Bend, Ind., died at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, in the nursing home. Wayne was retired from South Bend Lathe after many years.

 

He was born on Dec. 31, 1906 in North Liberty, Ind. He was married to Helen Monahan Hawblitzel and then to Ann Brandt. They both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bert Worster. He is survived by two stepdaughters, Mary Ann Spence of South Bend and Kathleen Arnold of Vermilion, Ohio; a stepson, Paul Hawblitzel of Camarillo, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and by a sister, Mary Katherine Miller of South Bend.

 

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, in the HICKEY Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, with Rev. John Railton, pastor of Timberland Bible Church, South Bend, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday in the funeral home.
