Elaine Etta (Baros) Wolford, 67, who resided at 750 E. County Road 425 North, Rochester, Ind., died at 8 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, in her residence. She had been in failing health for the past two years.

She was born on April 11, 1933, in North Liberty, Ind., to the late Frank C. and Gladys Davis Baros. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James Baros in 1936, and had resided in the Rochester community since 1960 when she moved here with her husband from North Liberty.

She was a registered nurse, having graduated from Holy Cross School of Nursing, South Bend, Ind., in the class of 1954. She served as the head nurse for the 7th floor of St. Joseph Medical Hospital, South Bend, from 1954 to 1959. In Rochester she had worked at the Woodlawn Hospital, the former Rochester Nursing Home and Canterbury Manor Nursing Home. She had also worked in the former private practices of William Fish, D.O., and Pedro Del Rosario, M.D., both of Rochester.

She was married on Nov. 27, 1959, in North Liberty, to Roy Wolford. She is survived by her husband, Roy Wolford at home; one daughter, Karen Scott and her husband, Gary of Macy, Ind.; two sons, Kevin L. Wolford and his wife, Deb of Plymouth, Ind., and Keith Wolford and his wife, Tricia of Allen, Texas; and by two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Amanda Wolford of Plymouth.

Funeral services for Elaine Etta (Baros) Wolford will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15, in the Foster & Good Funeral Home, 128 W. 6th Street, Rochester, with the Rev. Junior Bose officiating. Her burial will take place at the Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty.

A private family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Plymouth campus, Cancer Treatment Center.
