SOUTH BEND - Ann R. Wolfe, 90, of St. Paul's Retirement Community, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008, in the nursing home. Ann was born April 7, 1917, to John and Agnes (Atzas) Horvath. She was a homemaker.

On January 15, 1936, Ann married Myron Wolfe, who preceded her in death May 25, 1994. A son, Richard Wolfe, a grandson, Robert Wolfe, a sister, Elizabeth Rhoads, and brothers, John, Emery, Joseph and Valentine Horvath, also preceded her in death. Surviving are her son, Bruce (Kathleen) Wolfe of Middlebury, IN; three grandchildren, Stacey (Tommy) Johnston of Indianapolis, Indiana, Brad (Kerri) Wolfe of Noblesville, Indiana, and Beth (Jeff) Davis of Mishawaka, Indiana; and five great-grandchildren.

Ann especially loved being with family, oil painting, travel, attending plays and musicals, and participating in many activities at St. Paul's where she had been a resident for the past 11 years. Ann's positive loving spirit and her energy deeply touched all those who came to know her. She will be greatly missed but always remembered. Ann was a regular volunteer at St. Paul's Retirement Community, including her participation in the Eden Project, and was a former play-lady at Memorial Hospital. For many years Ann and Myron enjoyed their membership at Bowler Country Club where they enjoyed playing golf and bowling. Ann's family wishes to thank the staff and friends at St. Paul's for embracing her over the last many years and truly becoming her second family. Visitation for Ann will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday March 5) in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 6, in St. Paul's Retirement Community where friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m.
