MISHAWAKA - Rebecca Ann "Andy" "Sutton" Williams, 52, passed away at 9:56 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2008, in Hospice House. Rebecca was born on September 7, 1955, in South Bend, IN, to William E. and Violet (Lawson) Sutton. She had lived in New Carlisle from age one until she was married.

On September 5, 1987, Rebecca and Clifford R. Williams celebrated vows with family and friends poolside at the home of her parents in New Carlisle. Survivors include her husband, Clifford R. Williams; her parents, William E. and Violet Sutton of New Carlisle, IN; her brother, William R. Sutton of New Carlisle, IN; her godson, Bradley Hobson of Elkhart, IN; her best friends, "Our Two Susies," Sue Hobson of Elkhart, IN, and Sue Updike of New Carlisle, IN; and her sister-in-law, Sharon E. (Colonel Robert) Bartos of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. EST Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert Street, New Carlisle, IN. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care Center.

Becky always loved music and singing. She played guitar and would entertain her parents, brother and grandparents by putting on shows. In high school she was in Swing Choir and also in the school musicals. Becky's favorite was "Sound of Music" in which she played the lead. Becky worked summers in high school at her parents' drive-in restaurant in Buchanan, MI. Becky loved to spend time with all of her grandparents and going fishing at Duck Lake. After graduation from New Prairie High School, Becky attended Indiana University at South Bend and graduated from Wide World School of Travel and worked in travel agencies for 15 years. Andy's journey across this life's stage is complete. She will now be free to sing and share her beautiful laugh and compassionate soul with others. Along with her on her journey, she will carry her beloved "Binky The Yorkie," her unique purse from "Friends," her tapes of the Andy Griffith Show, and all of my love and appreciation for our friendship and marriage of many years. She changed my life. She will protect her beloved godson, Bradley, our two Susies, and our family of "furry couch buddies" who will remain with Cliff. To those persons she recently met during her last hours, she will serve as a glowing reminder that our life here should be one of understanding, compassion, kindness, and love. She will continue to forever help us keep the doors to understanding and communication open, so that we may follow when God allows. The "Sound of Music" and her dreams of "Camelot" will remain with us forever.
