SOUTH BEND - Services for Johnnie Bell
Williams, 98, of 220 N. Sheridan St., who died at 3:15 p.m.
Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness, will be
at noon Tuesday in Pilgrim Baptist Church. Burial will be in
Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services at
the church. Alford's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Williams was born March 25, 1898, in
Durant, Miss., coming here in 1925 from Sunflower, Miss. She
married George Williams. He preceded her in death. Surviving are
a daughter, Hiawatha Cannon of South Bend; one grandchild;
four great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the church and Marionette Charity Club.
