Clarence D. Williams

Feb. 13, 1912 - July 6, 2000

Clarence David Williams, 88, of South 400 East, Rochester, Ind., formerly of Osceola, Ind., passed away at 11 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, in his residence.

Clarence was born on Feb. 13, 1912, in Clinton, Ind., to George W. and Rebecca (Packer) Williams, who both preceded him in death. On Sept. 10, 1933, in Sheperdville, Ind., Clarence married Lillie Boothe, who also preceded him on Jan. 10, 1997. Clarence was also preceded in death by his son, Donald Eugene Williams; his grandsons, Jeff Cook and Eddie Weaver; his brothers, Thomas and Morris Williams; and by his sisters, Mary Brenson and Cloe Moreland.

Clarence leaves to cherish his memories his sons, David (Lorena) Williams of Osceola, Robert (Barbara) Williams of Mishawaka, Ind., and Thomas Williams of Mishawaka; his daughters, Saundra (Ray) Holder of Mesa, Ariz., Rebecca Cunningham of Rochester, Ind., Mary Kay (Billy) Cook of Granite Shoals, Texas, Lillie Suzanne (Ed) Weaver of Lafayette, Ind., Marjorie (David) Schulte of Hesperia, Calif., and Margaret (Jim) Detty of Plainfield, Ind.; two sisters, Margarita Manly of Sanford, Ind., and Frances (Mark) Bundy of Terre Haute, Ind.; 33 grandchildren, 97 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Clarence and his wife used to own the Blue Bell Restaurant in Mishawaka and the Rochester Recreation Center in Rochester. He had also worked at Bendix for 24 ½ years as a machinist.

Friends may visit at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Sunday for visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with Pastor Earl Rynearson from Abundant Life Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.
