Sister Mary Emily CSC, 78, of Saint
Mary’s Convent, died this morning in the convent infirmary
after a short illness. She was born in Noble County, Ind. April
10, 1870, and was a member of St. Mary’s for 55 years. She
had served as a teacher at Sacred Heart Academy in Fort Wayne;
and St. Theresa Academy in Boise, Idaho.
A requiem mass will be celebrated at 6 a.m.
Wednesday in the Immaculate Conception Chapel at the convent and
funeral services will take place at 4 p.m. Wednesday with burial
in the community cemetery at the convent. The body is in the
parlor at the convent.
