James Wilkins

November 18, 1877 – October 25, 1969

James Wilkins, 91, of 314 S. Falcon St., died Saturday in Healthwin Hospital after an extended illness.  He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Wilkins was born on November 18, 1877, in Water Valley MS; he had lived in South Bend for ten years, coming from Sikeston MO.  In 1898 in Water Valley he married Sally Rigley, who died in 1909.  He is survived by a son, Samson of South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Cordia Hawkins of South Bend and Mrs. Virginia Warfield of Milwaukee WI; 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.  Alford’s Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
