Clarence E. Wilcox

April 18, 1888 – February 4, 1981

Clarence E. Wilcox, 92, of 24986 Sandy Beach Drive, Edwardsburg MI, formerly of South Bend, died at 11:45am on Wednesday in the Paul Stephans Nursing Home, Niles, after an illness of several years.  He had retired after 50 years as a plasterer.  He was secretary-treasurer of the Plasterers Union for 25 years.

Born on April 18, 1888, in Coldwater MI, he had lived here most of his life.  His wife, Theresa Reilly, died on December 31, 1943.  He is survived by a son, Gordon R. of Schenectady NY; a grandson; and a brother, Leon C of South Bend.

Services will be at 10:30am Friday in St Joseph’s Catholic Church.  Rev. Paul Doyle, CSC, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call from 6 to8pm today in the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E Jefferson.
