Mrs. Carol S. Wiegand, 62, of South Bend, Ind., passed away following an illness on Tuesday morning, Nov. 10, in Memorial Hospital.

She was born on July 2, 1936, in Mishawaka, Ind., to Leo O. and Estella (Roe) Tribbett. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her grandchildren, Abby and Anna Wiegand.

On Feb. 15, 1957, she married Dennis A Wiegand, who survives. She is also survived by two sons, Rodney A. (Melissa) Wiegand of South Bend and Timothy A. (Lisa) Wiegand of Monticello, Ind.; and by three grandchildren, Kayla Wiegand of South Bend, and Matthew and Troy Wiegand of Monticello.

Carol worked for the Carson-Pirie-Scott Company and H. & R. Block. She was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a graduate of Riley High School and attended the South Bend College of Commerce. She was a member of Eastern Star, Chapter #2, and was also an active member of the First Baptist Church of South Bend.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, with the Rev. Kennard Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
